Ingredients

  • Strudel dough (or 4 filo sheets)250 g
  • Butter, melted80 g
  • Spinach, blanched600 g
  • Feta or quark200 g
  • Onion1
  • Garlic cloves2
  • Egg1
  • Nutmeg1 pinch

Method

  1. FillingChop the spinach and mix with soft onion, garlic, cheese, egg and nutmeg.
  2. StretchStretch the dough very thin on a floured cloth and brush with butter.
  3. RollSpread the filling on one third and roll up using the cloth.
  4. BakeBrush with butter and bake at 190C for 35 minutes until golden.
  5. ServeSlice and serve warm with a salad.
