  • Lamb or beef, cubed800 g
  • Onion, grated1
  • Yogurt1/2 cup
  • Garlic3 cloves
  • Black pepper1 tsp
  • Sumac1 tsp
  • Oil2 tbsp
  • Salt1.5 tsp

Method

  1. MarinateMix the meat with grated onion, yogurt, garlic, pepper, oil and salt and chill at least 2 hours (30 minutes at a push).
  2. SkewerThread the cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between pieces.
  3. GrillCook over hot charcoal 10 to 12 minutes, turning, until charred outside and just pink within.
  4. ServeSlide onto warm naan and dust with sumac and raw onion.
