- Dates, chopped150 g
- Caster sugar2 tbsp
Method
- RubRub the butter into the flour and salt. Stir in the dates and sugar.
- MixAdd the milk and mix with a knife to a soft dough; don't overwork.
- CutPat 2.5 cm thick and cut rounds with a floured cutter.
- BakePlace touching on a tray and bake at 220C for 12 to 15 minutes until risen and golden.
- ServeWrap in a tea towel and serve warm.
